Matt Cutts Says Backlinks are Still Relevant!

With all of these algorithm updates released by Google, most SEO specialists I know (and like myself) are becoming very cautious with their marketing strategies. In fact, most of my colleagues are left clueless and frustrated to how they’ll make their sites rank on Google.

If you have completely shun away from building backlinks to your site, YOU BETTER HOLD THAT THOUGHT! Matt Cutts reaffirms the significance of backlinks and the role it plays in helping our websites rank. According to Cutts, excluding backlink relevancy resulted in “much worse” search quality.

“It turns out backlinks, even though there’s some noise and certainly a lot of spam, for the most part are still a really, really big win in terms of quality for search results,” says Cutts.
