Like me, I’m pretty sure you’re running out of ideas on how you can acquire quality backlinks. Link building is not as easy as it used to be–build your own network of blogs, or spam comment boxes, or pile up on directory submissions and article directories. Well, I still see several do these tactics and yes, at some point they are still okay to use. Just don’t let yourself get caught by Google. Penguin to be exact.
At the end of the day, there’s no other effective route to take than going for QUALITY. And you don’t get quality by doing shortcuts. You have to earn it through quality content. Either it’s on your website or on the third-party website.
Guest Blogging and Resource Link building are just some of the, should I say, ‘new’ link building tactics that I’ve explored in the past three months. And let me say that it can be quite challenging in terms of turn around time (response from the contacted blogger), content to offer the third party website, and of course, content your website offers (crucial for resource articles and dead links).
But at the end of the day, quality still wins over quantity. A bunch of DA 1 directory links is not as powerful as a link from a DA70 blog with thousands of unique page views per week. How would you know the traffic a website is getting? You can always use TrafficEstimates.com to check.
Plus the fact that these links are more ‘permanent’. Google can immediately drop and discredit the bad links you are building, which means, you have to start all over again.
