Many of my friends ask me, how does one eat a Sweet Maria cupcake? Sweet Maria is an online pastry shop offering your taste buds with luscious HOMEMADE cupcakes made with love. I have been in love with food since the day I was born. From pasta to roast beef to home-cooked Pinoy meals, I am not picky and I am willing to try anything pleasing in the eye and aromatic. But I guess cakes have a special place in my heart.
I got hooked into baking back in 2011. I could still remember that day when I craved for a strawberry cheesecake but is too sick of the common delis served at local coffee shops. I browsed the internet for no-bake cheesecake recipes (yeah, we don’t have an oven back then since no one in our family knows how to use one). I didn’t get the recipe right in the first few tries of course. But when I did, and although the result was delicious, it’s not the same as the cheesecakes sold in pastry shops. So after a ‘fruitful’ payday, I went to the mall and bought my first electric oven. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Now, I have my own online cupcake shop. And I couldn’t be happier!

I love a cupcake that’s pleasing in the eye, delicious and not-too-sweet. Yes, for someone who as a sweet tooth, I hate desserts that are too “sugary”. I love moist cake bread and a hefty amount of frosting on top. And of course, decorations (toppers, sprinkles, syrups, etc.).
So how do you eat a Sweet Maria Cupcake? Here’s a step-by-step guide!
Get a Plate! Take out one piece and place it on a plate. It doesn’t need to be a fancy one.
Peel off the Wax Cupcake Liner! Well, this is very basic so….
Slice the cake with your fork! Like a normal cake, slice it with a fork.
Stick that fork in the sliced cupcake and dig in! Now that it’s bite size, it’s easier to eat.
